Dear EWuF Members,

On December 18th,  2009 the EWuF was invited by the FIWUK and the regional NOC in
Palermo for a introduction meeting of the COJI (Comité Organisateur des jeux d’Iles
(Organizing committee of the Island Games).  This organization is promoting sport and
competition sports for the Island citizens. In 2009 the 13th edition of the COJI games took
place in Mallorca. 22  Islands worldwide are member of COJI.

During the last version of the COJI games some 10 sports were on the program Ping-pong,
Gymnastic, Athletics, Volley-ball, Handball,  Swimming, Tennis, Basketball, Sailing and Judo.
The FIWUK President Mr. Ettore Barbagallo and the board, Mr. Riccardo Sangrigoli and Mr.
Livio Guidolin were present in the COJI meeting with the EWuF Secretary General in order to
find out how Wushu could fulfill the criteria to  be accepted as a new sport into those Games.
A study will be made and a presentation of Wushu to the COJI board  is foreseen for the end
of January 2010
